Bilt just announced an expanded collaboration with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and it turns your biggest monthly expense into premium travel. If you hold an eligible Qatar Airways credit card, you can now earn 3 Avios per $1 on your rent paid through Bilt. Here is everything you need to know.
New to Bilt? Bilt is a free loyalty program, and the points you earn can go toward travel. Earning is simple: create a free account, link a qualifying card to your Bilt account, and use it with Bilt's partners.
Better yet, you don't need to rent, own a home, or carry a Bilt card to be a member. Anyone can open a free rewards account, link their cards, and earn points every time they spend with a Bilt partner, including restaurants, Lyft rides, pharmacies, fitness classes, and more.

What Bilt and Qatar Just Announced
As of August 5, 2026, Bilt Members who hold an eligible Qatar Airways Privilege Club credit card can earn 3 Avios per $1 spent on rent through Bilt.
Refer to this article if you want to learn more about how to pay rent or mortgage with Bilt.
What You Earn
You earn 3 Avios per $1 on rent, on up to $50,000 of rent per year. That is up to 150,000 Avios a year. Avios will go straight to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account.
The Airline Options Compared
Qatar is not the only airline you can earn on rent with. Each of these cards earns boosted miles on the first $50,000 of rent you pay through Bilt each year (rent only, and the same 3% fee applies):
- Air France KLM (Flying Blue) Visa Signature: 3 miles per $1, so up to 150,000 miles a year.
- Alaska Atmos Rewards (Ascent or Summit): 3 miles per $1, so up to 150,000 a year.
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club (Visa Signature or Infinite): 3 Avios per $1, so up to 150,000 a year.
- United MileagePlus (Gateway, Explorer, Quest, Club, or Presidential Plus): 2 miles per $1, so up to 100,000 a year.
One thing to be clear on: the $50,000 is a limit on how much rent earns the boosted rate each year, not a cap on your miles. Once you pass it, you keep earning at a lower rate (Flying Blue, for example, drops to 1.5 miles per $1).

The Details to Know
A few important things so you go in with the full picture:
- Eligible cards: the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature or Visa Infinite, powered by Cardless. This is a US offer.
- Rent only: this 3x rate applies to rent, not mortgage.
- There is a 3% fee. Because this is a third-party airline card paid through Bilt, a 3% fee applies to the payment. Quick math: your rent x 0.03 is the fee. So think of it as buying Avios at roughly a cent each, which can be a great deal for a premium cabin, but always run your own numbers.
- Extra card perks: these cards also earn bonus Avios on dining and Qatar Airways spending, plus elite tier fast-track and Qpoints.

Why Qatar Avios Are Worth It
Avios are one of the most flexible points out there. You can put them toward Qatar Airways flights, including the famous Qsuite business class, plus oneworld partners around the world.
Pro tip: Avios move for free between British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Finnair, and Qatar. So earning Qatar Avios does not lock you into one airline, it unlocks the whole Avios family. You accumulate on rent, then send them wherever you want to fly.
How to Get Started
If you have an eligible Qatar Airways Privilege Club card, you connect it in your Bilt account and pay rent through Bilt as usual, and the 3 Avios per $1 posts automatically.

Bottom Line
Your rent is the biggest check you write every month, and now it can build toward a Qsuite seat. If you hold an eligible Qatar Airways card, you can earn 3 Avios per $1 on up to $50,000 of rent a year, then move those Avios across the whole Avios family. Just remember the 3% fee, and make sure your redemption is worth it before you commit.
