The only regret I have about this credit card is not applying for it sooner. I only got it in November of 2025, and it's already become one of my personal cards that helps me book business class flights for far less than I'd spend with any other program. I'll show you exactly what I was able to redeem, and you can decide for yourself.
Quick context: Atmos Rewards is the joint loyalty program of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
There are several benefits to this card, but I have three favorites. You get a 25,000-point companion certificate every year (which I just used to book flights to Europe), another 100,000-point companion certificate if you spend $60,000 or more in a cardmember year, and the ability to earn 3x points on every foreign purchase — literally anywhere outside the country, with no cap.

The Benefits of the Atmos Summit
- Each account anniversary, get a 25,000-point Global Companion Award for a travel companion on the same itinerary when booking travel using your Atmos™ Rewards points. Additionally, receive a 100,000-point Global Companion Award annually after spending $60,000 or more on purchases each anniversary year.
- Receive 8 Alaska Lounge passes and 8 Wi-Fi passes each year (2 of each per calendar quarter).
- Get a free checked bag and preferred boarding for you and up to 6 guests traveling on the same reservation when you purchase Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines airfare with your card.
- Earn unlimited 3 points for every $1 spent on eligible dining, foreign transactions, and Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines purchases, and unlimited 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases. Plus, earn a 10% rewards bonus on all points earned from card purchases if you have an eligible Bank of America® account.
- Get 10,000 status points every year on your account anniversary and earn 1 status point for every $2 spent on purchases.
- Receive an airport security statement credit up to $120 every four years for TSA PreCheck® or Global Entry.
- Receive a $50 voucher for Alaska Airlines flight cancellations or departure delays of 2 hours or more.
- Pay no change fee on same-day changes to your Alaska Airlines flight plans — a savings of up to $75 per change.
- No blackout dates or redemption fees on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, or partner airline flights when booking with points or a Global Companion Award.
- Partner award booking fee waiver.
- Plus, no foreign transaction fees.

My Recent Strategy That Saved Me 25,000 Points
I recently discovered there's a direct flight from Cancún to Frankfurt on Condor. Their business class looks incredible, and you can book this flight using Alaska Atmos points. I found availability, and Alaska was charging 70,000 points + $100 per person to fly business class.
I'd been looking for the perfect way to use my 25,000-point companion certificate, and this was it. Instead of paying 140,000 points total for two people, we spent just 115,000.
But it doesn't end there. Another huge benefit of the Atmos Summit card is that partner award booking fees are waived. So every single time you book a partner flight and use the Alaska card as your payment method, you get a discount.
Atmos also just raised partner award fees by 60% — and that increase didn't touch my flights, because I have the Summit card.
I ended up paying 115,000 points + $158.34 for two people, instead of 140,000 points + $199. That works out to roughly 57,500 points + $79 per person — for a business class seat that was listing for $3,100 in cash (per person) on Google Flights at the time.
Now, the annual fee is $395. But between the companion certificate and the partner award fee waiver, this single trip alone covered a big chunk of that fee.. and I'll keep saving on every partner booking I make for the rest of the year. It pays for itself faster than you'd think.
I also share why Alaska Atmos points are my favorite way to book domestic flights in a separate article.
My Favorite Redemptions Using Alaska Atmos Points
- American Airlines domestic flights
- American Airlines international flights (my favorite is Brazil)
- Japan Airlines to Japan
- Condor to Germany
- Starlux to Taipei
And so much more!
What to Know Before Applying for the Atmos Summit
Right now, new cardholders can earn 80,000 bonus points plus a 25,000-point Global Companion Award after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 90 days from account opening. The card carries a $395 annual fee.
The Atmos Rewards Summit delivers fantastic value for Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines flyers who are ready to go all in on their joint loyalty program. Between the annual 25,000-point Global Companion Award, the 100,000-point companion award after spending $60,000 in a year, the Alaska Lounge passes, and the high earning rate on foreign transactions, there's a lot here that you simply won't find on other cards. If you fly Alaska or Hawaiian with any regularity, this one is worth a serious look.
